Tinubu to hold first presidential media chat Monday night
President Bola Tinubu will hold his first chat with the media since assuming office on December 23.
The State House, in a statement on Monday afternoon, said the event will be televised nationwide from 9:00 p.m.
Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga said the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, will carry the programme live to Nigerians across the country.
Mr Tinubu was inaugurated as president on May 29, 2023, and has declined to hold a press conference or parley with the media ever since.
His predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, also rarely held a media chat despite widespread crises that required direct communication from the president to Nigerians.
