Tinubu urged to do more to protect Nigerians from bandits, terrorists

The New Horizons for Peace and Charity Initiative has appealed to the Federal Government to do more to prevent attacks on communities, worship centres and other places this festive period.
The NHPI president, Uche Udungwor, made the appeal on Sunday in an interview in Lagos.
Mr Udungwor said the organisation focused on the rehabilitation of displaced persons, noting that attacks had displaced people, affecting their livelihoods.
“It is disheartening that some terrorists make bold plans to attack and unleash mayhem on the citizens. I hope our military has strategised to counter them,” he said.
He regretted that some communities and places of worship had suspended activities due to threats of attacks by terrorists.
