Deputy Governor Samuel Ode says Benue will deliver one million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Mr Ode stated this on Thursday when he took the members of the Presidential Communications Team on a tour of ongoing federal and state infrastructure projects across Makurdi, the state capital.

“We already have a pronouncement that was done by the governor of Benue state, His Excellency Father Alia. He made a pronouncement that Benue will deliver one million votes to Mr President,” the deputy governor said. “I think my responsibility as deputy governor is to make sure that I mobilise the Executive Council and the people of Benue state in their large numbers to actualise that promise that has been made by the governor.”

Mr Ode, who cited several federal projects in Benue, attributed the infrastructural development to Tinubu administration’s increased federation account allocations.

He added, “That allocation, which has multiplied, is what we are utilising for the benefit of the people of Benue state. It is their commonwealth, and so we want them to see in real terms what development is. What you see here is a prudent utilisation of the funds which are coming from the federation account, which have increased since this government of Tinubu came into being.”
