Aliyu Audu, an aide to President Bola Tinubu, has resigned his appointment.

Mr Audu, who served as special assistant to the president on public affairs, resigned his appointment in a letter dated June 8.

“I write to formally tender my resignation as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, effective immediately,” Mr Audu said.

He added, “I remain deeply grateful to you, Mr. President, for the opportunity to serve my fatherland under your visionary leadership.”

Mr Audu did not state why he resigned from his position in Mr Tinubu’s government. However, his resignation comes months after Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, another presidential aide reigned from Mr Tinubu’s government.
