A global billionaire index released by Bloomberg featured the names, countries, ages and net worths of the 500 richest people in the world.

Below are the top 10 among the 500 richest men in the world, their ages and net worth. 

Elon Musk

Tech billionaire Elon Musk, an American, comes first on the global billionaire index with an estimated net worth of $977 billion.

Mr Musk, 55, a prominent tech mogul and owner of SpaceX, Tesla, Starlink and X, became the world’s first trillionaire in dollars after one of SpaceX’s stocks soared on its debut in the global market in June.

Larry Page

Another American, Larry Page, ranks second on the global billionaire index with an estimated $294 billion fortune in private, public and cash assets.

Mr Page, 53, is a computer scientist famous for co-founding Google, a multinational technology corporation and the world’s most prominent search engine.

Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos ranks third on the global billionaire index with an estimated fortune of $277 billion in public, private and cash assets.

Mr Bezos, 63, is the founder and executive chairman of Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce and cloud computing company.

Sergey Brin

An American scientist, Sergey Brin, is fourth on the global billionaire index with an estimated net worth of $273 billion in assets.

Mr Brin, 53, is the co-founder of Google, a multinational technology corporation and the world’s most prominent search engine.

Michael Dell

Michael Dell, an American businessman, is the fifth-richest man in the world, with an estimated $260 billion fortune.

Mr Dell, 61, is the founder, chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies, one of the world’s largest technology infrastructure companies that develops, sells, repairs and supports personal computers, servers, data storage devices, network switches and computer software.

Mark Zuckerberg

An American tech mogul, Mark Zuckerberg, is the sixth-richest man listed on the global billionaire index, with an estimated $256 billion in public, private and cash assets.

Mr Zuckerberg, 42, is prominent for founding Meta, the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram.

Jensen Huang

With an estimated net worth of $194 billion, Jensen Huang, a Taiwanese-American billionaire, ranks seventh on the global billionaire index.

Mr Huang, 63, is the president, CEO and co-founder of NVIDIA, a tech company that designs graphics processing units (GPUs) and accelerated computing platforms for artificial intelligence, data centres, gaming and automotive applications.

Larry Ellison

Larry Ellison is ranked eighth on the global billionaire index, with an estimated net worth of $192 billion in assets.

Mr Ellison, 83, is the co-founder and chairman of Oracle Corporation, globally renowned for software, database management systems and cloud infrastructure.

Steve Ballmer

With an estimated fortune of $180 billion, Steve Ballmer, an American businessman, ranks ninth on the global billionaire index.

Mr Ballmer, 70, the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), was chief executive officer of Microsoft from 2000 to 2014.

Warren Buffett

Popularly known as the “Oracle of Omaha,” Warren Buffett, an American business magnate, investor and philanthropist, ranks 10th on the global billionaire index, with an estimated net worth of $143 billion.

Mr Buffett, 96, is the oldest among the top 10 richest men in the world.
