Top Bauchi ruler sacked for disloyalty to Gov. Bala Mohammed

The Bauchi Emirate has sacked Muhammadu Bello Kirfi as Wazirin of Bauchi on accusation that he is disloyal and disrespectful of governor Bala Mohammed.
This was conveyed in a letter dated January 3, signed by the council secretary, Shehu Mudi Muhammad, and seen by Peoples Gazette.
“The content of the said letter indicated your disloyalty and disrespect to the Executive Governor of the State and the government. It therefore directed for your removal with immediate effect.
“In view of the above, you are hereby removed from office as Wazirin Bauchi and also as a Council Member of Bauchi Emirate,” the letter read in part.
In a separate letter dated January 4, Mr Kirfi’s daughter, Sa’datu Bello Kirfi, who is a commissioner in Mr Mohammed’s cabinet, resigned her appointment.
Ms Kirfi did not state why she is resigning. However, it is said that her resignation is connected to the sack of her father as Wazirin Bauchi.
