Italy has urged ECOWAS to extend its deadline for the reinstatement of Niger’s ousted President Mohamed Bazoum.
On Sunday as the deadline expired, the junta closed its airspace until further notice, citing the increased threat of military intervention.
ECOWAS, backed by the U.S. and other Western allies, has threatened fire and brimstone to invade Niger.
NNPJ called on local and global media organisations to reduce the hype about the issues relating to the Niger Republic.
“It is imperative for regulators to ensure accountability on inaccurate rating opinions issued in Africa,” the report said.
He added that there would be serious implications for Nigeria if military force was considered without exhausting all diplomatic channels.
Mr Lamuwa said the federal government and ECOWAS commended the international community for condemning Gen. Abdourahamane Tchiani-led coup.
Chris Kwaja said this in a virtual news conference on Friday in Abuja.
“We will make them handover to the civilian authorities,” Mr Musah added.
The radio station was shut down in March 2018 over noncompliance with local media laws.
