Mr Muhammad said the commission had strengthened its nationwide presence by opening an office in every state within 28 months of its existence.
Mr Soludo made the commendation during the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Inter-platoon Cultural Carnival, held on Saturday at the NYSC Orientation Camp at Mbaukwu-Umuawulu.
The vice-chancellor said that from the first convocation held in 2013 to date, the university has produced 4,431 graduates.
A science student might select subjects in the social sciences or the arts, according to the education ministry.
The University of Maiduguri’s alumni forum, Abuja chapter, has called for unity to impact the school and its students.
The disbursement was reportedly done in three phases, with 514 beneficiaries in September 2024 and 105 in November 2024 and 13 more beneficiaries were approved later.
He also stressed the need to reward hardworking teachers to improve standards in the sector.
Mr Ribadu assured the board of the commission’s full cooperation.
The move is described as a precaution meant to safeguard the university community.
He said that his administration would be guided by transparency, accountability, and students’ welfare.
