The Academic Staff Union of Universities (Yobe University chapter) states that it has not called off the strike that began on July 11.
According to him, each academic and non-academic staff member is eligible to receive up to N10 million.
The certificate was awarded in Boston to Mr Kwairanga upon completion of the course modules.
Mr Yar’Adua encouraged students to take their studies seriously.
The pro-chancellor further urged the awardees to be motivated by the honour to do more for humanity.
Mr Osi-Orbih thanked the UNIPORT Governing Council and management for finding Mr Wike deserving of the honour.
Mr Shittu said more private school pupils participated this year, describing the trend as a positive sign for public education in Lagos.
Mr Wike stated that he was educated in character and learning at the university and called on all alumni to give back to the university as a mark of gratitude.
He disclosed that the boyfriend’s landlord and some other people, suspected of facilitating the killing, had been arrested.
Mr Ayantuga said the event was a celebration of vision growth, and of the grace of God in the past one year.
