Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo made the appeal on Friday during a meeting with proprietors of private schools in Yenagoa.
The ICPC spokesman said preliminary findings exposed a significant gap in the financial records of the disbursement process of the fund.
He highlighted the growing importance of private universities as complementary partners to public institutions.
At least NELFUND has disbursed N116 billion as of January 1, 2025, for the upkeep of students across 176,252 beneficiary institutions in the country.
The university’s vice-chancellor, William Qurix, announced the approval in a statement signed by the university’s registrar, Sanusi Gambo, on Tuesday.
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals are all interconnected. For instance, progress on SDG 2 to end hunger is closely tied to advances in health and education.
Mr Alausa revealed that WAEC and NECO would start administering their objective papers via CBT, effective this November.
“We remain committed to improving infrastructure, enhancing teacher welfare, and providing the necessary tools for our students to thrive,” he said.
The cleric lamented that despite the significant funds allocated to education by the government, the efforts have yielded little results.
The president of the university said that the new students were expected to be intellectually curious, morally upright, and socially responsible.
