He said the option would be cheaper and easier to manage.
He said the committee had initiated high-level diplomatic engagements to facilitate technology transfer.
The decision was reached after the 2026 policy meeting on Monday.
The appointment follows the expiration of the tenure of the former chancellor, Apostle Folorunso Alakija.
“This innovation ensures that no two candidates have the same question sequence,” he said.
He said the delay is already undermining the smooth execution of the agreement.
He accused the school’s management of repeatedly ignoring proposals to combat cultism.
The decision is expected to strengthen enrollment in colleges of education.
