The University of Maiduguri’s alumni forum, Abuja chapter, has called for unity to impact the school and its students.
The disbursement was reportedly done in three phases, with 514 beneficiaries in September 2024 and 105 in November 2024 and 13 more beneficiaries were approved later.
He also stressed the need to reward hardworking teachers to improve standards in the sector.
Mr Ribadu assured the board of the commission’s full cooperation.
The move is described as a precaution meant to safeguard the university community.
He said that his administration would be guided by transparency, accountability, and students’ welfare.
Mr Oyeweso said, “He is a renowned professor of history, an educator and mentor, who touched the lives of countless students, colleagues and political associates among others.’’
Mr Festus said that the sensitisation was to enlighten and encourage the people to support the school mapping in Bayelsa State.
The vice-chancellor boasts that LASU is a student-centered institution that fosters development of generational leaders.
