The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged the Nigeria Revenue Service to grant a one-month extension for the filing of Company Income Tax returns.
“Many hardworking Lagosians have continued to count heavy losses due to a crisis that has become an annual occurrence,” he said.
“I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the people of Lagos who have been affected by the ongoing flooding,” he said.
According to the agency, the enforcement is part of the state government’s commitment to enforcing environmental laws and protecting public health.
The magistrate adjourned the case until July 16 for mention.
The chairman also called on the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps to intensify efforts to curb indiscriminate refuse dumping in public places.
Ms Salmwang encouraged the corps members to contribute meaningfully to their host communities.
Mr Folawiyo said the initiative would boost school attendance, punctuality and learning among pupils in the area.
Mr Olaniyi said, “Sunday’s April 28 heavy rainfall and the rainfall today (Tuesday) once again exposed Lagos residents to preventable flooding across several parts of the state.”
“I was compelled to cry unto God because we have been fasting and praying for a particular group of school children who were captured,” said the RCCG spiritual leader.
