The governor had earlier written to the House on Thursday, requesting to present the state budget on March 19.
Mr Tobins noted that the documents were transmitted to RSIEC in a letter marked INEC/RV/SVR/498/155.
With the indefinite adjournment of plenary, Mr Fubara’s second proposed attempt to present the budget to them is now uncertain.

He claimed that Mr Wike’s comments if left unchecked, could harm President Bola Tinubu’s chances of re-election in 2027.
“No matter the depth of our differences, we believe the interests of the state and our people should take priority over political conflicts,” Mr Fubara stated.

“Given his eight-year tenure as governor of Rivers, we expected a more informed understanding of the state’s history,” the INC said.
To ensure the successful impeachment of Mr Fubara, the lawmakers loyal to Mr Wike are seeking to discredit Mr Amadi, directing the SSS to investigate his age.
“The governor and his team simply and deliberately acted Wednesday’s drama with a singular motive to tarnish the image of the assembly,” said Mr George.

Mr Fubara said Rivers lost huge resources during the pendency of the matter in court, saying,” This waste of resources is regrettable”.
