He said the opioids were recovered in three containers coming from India, targeted by the NDLEA during a 100 per cent joint examination of the cargoes.
Mr Fubara accused Kayode Egbetokun, the inspector general of police, of being “very wicked” and “fraudulent.”
The Rivers State Independence Electoral Commission has scheduled the council elections for October 5.
“The suspects would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations,” he said.
The army said in a statement on Monday that the operations were held in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, and Rivers.
The IGP urged the new police commissioners to “ensure diligence in the discharge of their lawful duties.”
Mr Razak stated that NEMA had already begun preparing residents to mitigate the impact of the flood as the intensity of rainfall increases in the South-South, particularly in Rivers.
In a press release on Friday, the police said the operation marked a significant breakthrough in its fight against oil theft, illegal bunkering and economic sabotage.
The police officer noted that, however, “Why keep a child who has a mental issue at home instead of a psychiatric home?”
