Mr Wike promised to support any candidate who supports the president at all costs, regardless of their political party.
Mr Hong said the decision follows extensive consultations with members of his political structure and loyalists across the state.
Mr Oyetola said the arrival of the defectors would strengthen the party’s resolve to reclaim the state and restore dignity to governance.
The Zamfara APC publicity secretary, Yusuf Idris, stated that the activities may lead to political violence in the state.
