Governor Abba Yusuf has called on residents to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu.
“The decentralisation of policing is long overdue. A state police structure will enable a faster response to security threats,” said Mr Egoh.
“It’s an insult to ask President Bola Tinubu to resign. If he does, who will solve the problem? Will the deputy or the Senate president come in and do it?” said Mr Sule.
“State police have been top of mind for President Tinubu since 1999, when he governed Lagos. We are happy to witness its emergence in Nigeria today,” Mr Sanwo-Olu said.
