Some residents of Kazaure council area of Jigawa have revived the traditional practice of harvesting rainwater to supplement their household water supply.
The group described the alleged move as unconstitutional, anti-democratic and a direct assault on local government autonomy and women’s participation in politics.
A statement on Thursday by Musa Mada, APC North-West spokesman, said the decision was reached at a meeting of the zonal leadership in Kaduna.
