Traditional ruler tasks Fulanis on proper child upbringing
The Sangarin Kwandere in Nasarawa State, Ahmadu Al-Makura, has advised Fulanis to ensure the proper upbringing of their children to enhance peace and societal development.
Mr Al-Makura gave the advice while receiving an award from the Badaro Fulani Socio-cultural organisation on Wednesday in Lafia.
He said good parenting would make the children better future leaders and promote peace in society.
The traditional ruler urged them to continue to teach moral values and discipline to their children for the overall development of Nigeria.
“I want to urge you and the other people of the state to live in peace and tolerate one another, irrespective of your affiliation.
“As peace is priceless and non-negotiable, it is the necessary requirement for the development of any society,” he said.
The traditional ruler also urged parents to give adequate priority to their children’s education.
Mr Al-Makura said no society would achieve meaningful development without education.
