Traffic Diversion: Residents urged not to panic as Buhari visits Lagos

President Muhammadu Buhari will be in Lagos on Monday and Tuesday for a two-day working visit to commission five projects in the State.
Mr Buhari is expected in Lagos on January 23, and would be received by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and some top dignitaries.
The State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, told journalists on Friday that all hands were on deck to ensure a hitch-free event during the visit.
Mr Omotoso said the security personnel will be at strategic places within the state to prevent unforeseen circumstances.
He implored residents not to panic due to the influx of security operatives deployed for the presidential visit to the State.
Projects to be inspected and commissioned are the Lekki Deep Sea Port, Lagos Rice Mill, and 18.75-kilometre six-lane rigid-pavement Eleko Junction to Epe Expressway.
Others are John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, Phase One of the Lagos Blue Line rail project, as well as turning of the sod for the second phase of the project.
The two-day trip to Lagos will also see Mr Buhari commission a private sector project, the MRS Lubricant factory in Apapa.
