Transport firm manager killed in suspected attack by gateman in Lagos

Transportation firm, Okeyson Transports, has confirmed the gruesome murder of its Ajah branch manager, Augustine Nwalieze, who was violently attacked at his residence in Ajah, Lagos.
In a statement issued by the company’s management, the incident occurred on Sunday, April 26, 2026, under what it described as “very tragic circumstances.”
The company disclosed that the attack was allegedly carried out by the deceased’s gateman.
“Chief Nwalieze lost his life in very tragic circumstances involving a brutal attack allegedly by his gate man at his residence in Ajah, Lagos. The matter has been reported to the authorities, and a police investigation is in progress. Out of respect for that process, we will not comment on the specifics at this time,” the statement read.
The transport company expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Mr Nwalieze as a dedicated and committed staff member whose contributions to the organisation would not be forgotten.
“This is a deeply painful loss to the entire Okeyson Transports family. Chief Nwalieze served with dedication and integrity, and his contributions to our organisation will be remembered with gratitude,” the company said.
