Troops cleared terrorists’ camp, killed two in Zamfara forest: Army

The Nigerian Army says troops conducting Operation FANSAN YAMMA have killed two terrorists and recovered arms during clearance operations in parts of Zamfara.
An operational report on Tuesday revealed that the raid was carried out on Monday in the Bagega–Sunke forest corridor.
The report said troops cleared several locations, including Maikwanuga village in Talata Mafara LGA, as well as Gidan Dawa, Magami Didi and Tungar Magaji villages in Maradun LGA.
According to the report, troops made contact with the terrorists at Tungar Magaji, forcing them to withdraw due to superior firepower.
”Two terrorists were neutralised during the encounter,” it stated.
The report added that troops recovered one AK-47 rifle with registration number NE 3774, one magazine loaded with 30 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and a motorcycle.
It said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to flush out terrorist elements and restore security in the area.
