Trump announces arrest of suspect in Charlie Kirk shooting

United States President Donald Trump has announced that the suspected shooter of conservative activist Charlie Kirk has been arrested.
Mr Kirk was murdered at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
Mr Trump, in an interview with Fox News on Friday, said the suspected shooter is now in custody, 48 hours after the incident.
“I think with a high certainty, we have him in custody,” Mr Trump said when asked for an update on Mr Kirk’s shooter manhunt. “Everyone did a great job.”
On Thursday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) offered a cash reward of $100,000 to whoever provides information leading to the arrest of the suspect. It had also released photos of the alleged shooter.
Meanwhile, Mr Trump had, during the 9/11 remembrance ceremony at the Pentagon on Thursday, announced he will be awarding Mr Kirk a posthumous presidential medal.
