Two Jewish Londoners stabbed in terrorist attack: Police

A rampaging 45-year old man stabbed two Jews – aged 76 and 34 – on Highfield Avenue in Barnet, London on Wednesday.
The attack happened in the morning on Wednesday, Metropolitan Police confirmed in a statement, declaring the incident an act of terrorism.
The suspect, the police said, “was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody,” while the incident ‘has now formally been declared a terrorist incident.”
Video of police officers tasering and overpowering the susoect has emerged on social media.
British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, in a statement on social media, said “The antisemitic attack in Golders Green is utterly appalling. Attacks on our Jewish community are attacks on Britain. Thank you to Shomrim, Hatzola and the police for acting swiftly. Those responsible will be brought to justice.”
Also, London Mayor Sadiq Khan condemned the attack in a social media post.
He said “There has been an appalling attack on two Jewish Londoners in Golders Green. The police have made an arrest and I’d like to thank all the emergency services and heroic volunteers… for their swift response.”
