On Monday, the Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court ordered the remand of two men, Sunday Adebayo, 31, and Kopo Sogbo, 41, for pleading guilty to stealing bunches of plantain and banana valued at N10,000.
Chief Magistrate N. A. Layeni remanded them at Awhajigoh Prison custody, Badagry.
The chief magistrate adjourned the case until January 24 for facts and sentencing.
Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Clement Okuoimose, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on January 6 at about 8.00 a.m. at Train Estate, Ilogbo Eremi area of Lagos.
Okuoimose said that the defendants conspired together to commit a felony to wit stealing.
