Two persons, Marvelous Owoyemi and Yisa Olasunkanmi, on Tuesday, appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle worth N2.5 million.

Owoyemi, 32 and Olasunkanmi, 33, were charged with conspiracy and theft, to which they pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Tellang, said that the defendants committed the offences on May 23, at about 5.00 a.m, at the Ayegun area of Ibadan.

Mr Tellang alleged that the defendants stole one TVS motorcycle worth N2.5 million belonging to the complainant, Femi Talabi.

He said the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Oluwaferanmi Raji, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500,000 each and two sureties each in like sum.

Ms Raji, among other terms, held that two of the sureties must be blood relations to the defendants.

She adjourned the case until September 11, for hearing.
