Two men remanded for stealing cartons of spaghetti from Lagos shop

The Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Monday ordered the remand of two men, Usman Yusuf and Abdulrafiu Ashiru, for allegedly breaking into a shop and stealing cartons of spaghetti worth N352,000.
The defendants appeared on a three-count charge of conspiracy, stealing and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace, to which they pleaded not guilty.
The Chief Magistrate, A. O. Akinde, ordered their remand at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Orobosa Osagiede, told the court the defendants committed the offences on March 12, at 3:00 a.m., at Iddo Plaza, Ebute Meta.
The offences contravened Sections 168(d), 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The court adjourned the case until April 4 for review of facts and possible sentencing.
