Two suspected kidnappers arrested in Bayelsa
Two suspected kidnappers have been arrested by police operatives, with help from youths and vigilantes of Adagbabiri community in Sagbama local government, Bayelsa state.
The suspects are Odulima Igbogiri of Okogbie community and Moses Joshua of Ahoada Town, both in Okogbie community of Rivers state.
In a statement on Saturday by the police command spokesperson, Asinmi Butswait, they were both arrested while planning to kidnap a resident of the community.
Mr Butswait said in an attempt to resist arrest, the suspects stabbed two police officers and one youth. The officers, however, are being treated at the Sagbama General Hospital.
He said the suspects were under interrogation as investigations remain ongoing.
