Two suspected transformer vandals arrested in Minna

The police command in Niger State said it arrested two out of four suspected electric transformer vandals in Minna.
This is contained in a statement by the Public Relations officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, on Thursday in Minna.
According to Mr Abiodun, on September 1, at about 6 a.m., two suspected electric transformer vandals were arrested in the Alagbado area of Minna.
He stated that they were arrested by police operatives from ‘B’ Division, Minna while two others escaped.
He said the suspects had been transferred to SCID Minna for further investigation and prosecution.
In another development, the command recovered a locally fabricated revolver gun in an isolated camp in Daza area, Niger State.
According to him, based on credible information on criminalities around Daza, police Tactical Support Team (TST) stormed the camp.
He stated, “Immediately the police teams were sighted around the camp, two suspected hoodlums hiding within the camp took to their heels and escaped. However, a search was carried out in the camp and one locally fabricated revolver was recovered.’’
He said the police were on the trail of the fleeing suspects.
