Two suspects arested in Lagos for alleged armed robbery

The Lagos State police command has arrested two suspects for alleged armed robbery and recovered a locally made cut-to-size Dane gun during a patrol in the Odogunyan area of the state.
A statement on Tuesday by the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, said three live cartridges were also recovered from the suspects.
“The operatives intercepted the two suspects, who were carrying a handbag and attempted to flee upon sighting the security team,” she said.
She stated the suspects were apprehended and the handbag was searched leading led to the recovery of one locally made cut-size Dane gun and three live cartridges.
The suspects were identified as Arowolo Damilola, 32, and Adewale Adeyinka, 29.
“The suspects are currently in custody and assisting the police with ongoing investigations, after which they will be charged to court accordingly,” Ms Adebisi noted.
