British right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos has been deported from the U.S. to the UK, following his arrest at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that the 41-year-old was deported to the UK on Friday, after he was accused of overstaying his visa since he entered the country in May 2019.

Mr Yiannopulous’s arrest followed his failure to appear for an immigration hearing on July 22, and he was issued a final order of removal by an immigration judge.

The department also said that the U.S. was offering $3,000 and a free flight to self-deport for illegal immigrants still living in the country to take hold of the advantage.

“We encourage all illegal aliens to take control of their departure with the CBP Home App. The United States is offering illegal aliens $3,000 and a free flight to self-deport now. 

“We encourage every person here illegally to take advantage of this offer and reserve the chance to come back to the U.S. the right legal way to live the American dream. If not, you will be arrested and deported without a chance to return,” the DHS said.

Reports suggested that he was in New Orleans for a scheduled Kanye West concert held at the Caesars Superdome on Friday. Mr Yinanopoulos previously worked with the rapper when he shorty contested the 2024 presidential election.

The 41-year-old is a prominent conservative political commentator known for numerous controversial comments about feminism and Islam. He is also a supporter of President Donald Trump’s strict immigration policies.
