The UK Parliament has voted against a new national investigation into mass child rape by grooming gangs across the country.

It said this was requested in an amendment to the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill.

The voting results showed that the House of Commons voted 364-111 to reject the initiative.

On January 2, The Telegraph reported that at least 1,000 girls had been raped by gangs of Asian men in the city of Telford.

It noted that the police have allegedly chosen not to investigate to avoid provoking racial tensions.

Similar crimes were also revealed in other parts of the UK.

It said even if the Commons had supported the national probe, the vote would not have forced the government to open the investigation due to the parliamentary procedure, the Sky News broadcaster reported.

The report said that the probe would have hindered the government’s efforts, particularly legislation to reform the children’s care system and raise educational standards in schools.

U.S. billionaire Elon Musk agreed that the UK’s judicial system was completely broken while replying to a post on X, which accused Prime Minister Keir Starmer of being the problem.

On January 3, Mr Musk accused Mr Starmer of being complicit in the grooming gangs scandal in the UK.

It pointed out that Mr Starmer was the head of the Crown Prosecution Service from 2008 to 2013 when the gang rapes were happening.

Health Secretary Wes Streeting argued that the government took the issue of child sexual exploitation seriously and suggested that Mr Musk “roll up his sleeves and work with us.”

He noted that, with this, the deal with rape gangs can be addressed.
