UK warns citizens against non-essential travel to Anambra after U.S. convoy attack

The United Kingdom’s foreign travel advice service has, in its most recent update, advised its citizens against non-essential travels to Anambra state.
In the update issued on Thursday on its website, the advice read: “The FCDO now advise against all but essential to Anambra state following an attack on a US convoy.”
Four staff of the United States Consulate in Nigeria were killed on Tuesday after attackers opened fire on a convoy.
The victims were in a diplomatic convoy when they came under heavy attack around Amiyi-Eke Ochuche in the Ogbaru Local Government Area, Anambra.
