Ukraine hits Russia’s oil refinery, says Zelensky

Mr Zelensky said their responses to Russian aggression in the Black Sea waters had been successful.

The Ukraine’s Defense Force on Thursday struck Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery belonging to Russia, including two military patrol boats and shadow fleet vessels.

In a post on X, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that his forces struck Russia’s oil revenues used to fund the war and the killing of Ukrainians.

“Ukraine’s Defense Forces have struck targets of the aggressor at a distance of over 1,300 kilometers from the front line. 

“In Bashkortostan, the Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery was hit. In the Yaroslavl region—nearly 700 kilometers from our border—the Slavneft-Yanos oil refinery,” he said.

The Peoples Gazette reported on Wednesday that Russia’s missiles killed 17 and injured 44 others in Ukraine.

Mr Zelenskyy said tbeir responses to Russian aggression in the Black Sea waters had been successful. 

“In particular, two military patrol boats and shadow fleet vessels were struck,” he added.

The president thanked the warriors of the Defense Forces who were systematically enhancing long-range capabilities and thereby strengthening the chances for diplomacy.
