Unease as police declare 27-year-old Nigerian lady missing in U.S.

A 27-year-old Nigerian lady, Hillary Iwuoha, has been declared missing in the United States.
Information shared by the police department of New York stated that Ms Iwuoha was last seen on August 31, 2026.
“The 47 Detective Squad is seeking assistance in locating missing 27-year-old female Hillary Iwuoha who was last seen at 647 East 230 Street on 8/31/2026. Missing was wearing a grey hoodie W/Pink lettering displaying saint, grey sweatpants, black crocs. No mental condition,” the missing person alert read.
Ms Iwuoha’s family expressed worry over the development, urging people with useful information to contact Detective Madina at 718-920-1214.
The Bronx, New York local community has also appealed for information on her whereabouts.
The incident triggered reactions from social media users praying for Ms Iwuoha’s safe return.
“Lord, we pray that you shall locate her and bring her home safely,” a user, cessina wrote.
Another user thatgirlishya stated, “Keeping her and the family in my thoughts and prayers.”
“This is heartbreaking. I pray she is ok,” said kara_jay.
Ma.nya12 stated, “I pray she is found safe and in good health.”
“Omg no, may God cover her. I hope they find her safe and sound,” aba.jpg wrote.
The latest incident came months after a Nigerian woman, Olasinmibo Abosede, was found dead in Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve, Illinois days after she was declared missing.
