Unemployed man arraigned for allegedly stealing two phones

A 30-year-old  unemployed man, Allahnan Hussain, was on Thursday arraigned in a Chief Magistrates’ Court in Wuse, Abuja, for allegedly stealing two cellphones from a workers at a building site.
The police charged Hussain with theft.
He, however pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecution Counsel, Festus Ajayi, informed the court that the complainant, Richard Odoh, who lives in Mpape, Abuja, reported the matter at the Maitama Police station on July 31.
The prosecutor told the court that on July 18, the defendant and one Ali, at large, stole a two cellphones and a mobile power bank from a construction site at Danube street in Maitama, Abuja.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 78 and 288 of the Penal Code Law.
Magistrate, Hafsat Amir, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum
She adjoined the matter until Aug. 24 for hearing
