Prof. Mike Adebamowo, the executive director of the University of Lagos Business School (ULBS), has urged graduating participants to be game changers in not just their respective organisations but the nation at large.

Mr Adebamowo gave the charge at the 3rd graduation reception of the class of 2023 EMBA participants on Saturday in Lagos.

He noted that the participants had been equipped with both the knowledge and skills needed to turn around the prospects of not only their respective organisations but the nation at large.

He announced that 18 out of the 65 graduating participants of the school bagged distinction, while others were inducted in the pass category.

He said a total of seven of the EMBA (weekend) 2022/2023 set were among the graduating participants who made the distinction.

He added that 27 others were admitted in the pass category.

Mr Adebamowo noted that for the EMBA (Online) 2022/2023, seven made distinction while 16 others were in the pass category.

“For the 2022/2023 weekend EMBA, a total of four of the graduating participants were awarded distinction, while four others were in the pass category.

“Today, we have come to witness the release of another set of eagles, the third set who have been raised to join the league of global leaders raised by the school.

“In August 2020, the ULBS was admitted into the membership of Business Graduates Association, London. The ULBS was the first Business school in the country to be admitted into the membership on May 12, 2021.

“The school became the fourth business school in the country to be recognised by the Association of African Business Schools, Sandton, South Africa, among others.

“The ULBS started operations in 2019, enrolled the first set of participants in September 2019 and they graduated in record time as promised.

“We are happy that these two sets of graduates are doing very well in their various careers and organisations.

“Let me use this opportunity to implore all our graduating participants to make use of what they have learnt in the school,” he said.

In her remark, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, tasked the graduating participants to go out to the larger space and show the UNILAG brand, which is progressive, ethical and always creative.

“What we have done is that we have given them more skills to better navigate the situation in our country.

“And I am quite confident that with people like them in their respective spheres of life, we will not have issues,” Ms Ogunsola said.
