Veteran Jùjú musician Sir Shina Peters ordained Bishop
Sir Shina Peters has been ordained as a Bishop by a Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Lagos.
The veteran Jùjú musician, 62, shared a footage of his ordination on his official Instagram page @sirshinapeters.
‘’Bishop with swagger, God above all,’’ the singer who came into limelight in the late 80’s wrote.
SSP as fondly called, is renowned for his hit albums – Ace (Afro-Juju Series 1) released in 1989 and Shinamania. The musician currently has 16 albums to his credit.
Sir Shina, who has amassed various awards, was recently recognised with the City People Music Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.
It, however, remains uncertain if the newly ordained cleric would sustain his decades-long musical career.
“To God be the glory. I will serve my god till the end,” SSP wrote on Facebook, in a follow-up comment on his ordination.
