Veteran Nollywood actor Ogunjimi is dead

Legendary Yoruba Nollywood actor Ganiyu Oyeyemi, also known as Ogunjimi, has died.
“We tried our best, but God loves you more,” actor Kunle Afod wrote in an Instagram post confirming Ogunjimi’s death on Friday.
“May his soul rest in peace. Baba Ogunjinmi, RIP, Sun re oooo,” he prayed.
Although the cause of death is still unknown as of this writing, a viral TikTok video shared on July 3, 2022, shared by one Princess Oloko, showed the deceased narrating his battle with stroke and paralysis.
“There was a time I had a stroke, and my limbs were paralysed; at that point, I thought I would never be successful,” said the late actor.
“There was also another time I had an accident and suffered internal injuries. However, God continued to uplift me,” he said in Yoruba.
The late actor was renowned for playing movie roles as a warlord and wizard.
