WAPA urges Nigerian women to be kind to less privileged

Bolaji Dada, Commissioner of Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, has urged women to show kindness to one another, particularly to those who are less privileged.
Ms Dada made the call in a statement on Wednesday.
While wishing women a joyous celebration, the commissioner said it is a time for reflection, gratitude and unity.
She said women remained the backbone of families, communities, and the state.
Appreciating women’s resilience and contributions to the growth and development of society, Ms Dada said their hard work, compassion and commitment to excellence inspire everyone.
The WAPA commissioner pledged the state’s commitment to eradicate poverty and empower women through targeted initiatives, including skills acquisition and financial assistance programmes.
“We are equipping women with the resources to achieve economic independence and contribute meaningfully to the prosperity of Lagos. Furthermore, the government remains resolute in safeguarding the rights of women.
“We continue to strengthen policies and enforcement mechanisms to create a safe environment, where every woman can thrive without fear of discrimination, violence or marginalisation,” she said.
