We’ll keep Sanwo-Olu on his toes, Accord Party vows

On Tuesday, the Accord Party in Lagos felicitated Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat on their inauguration for a second term.
The party’s chairman in Lagos, Dele Oladeji, said the party would keep the governor and his lieutenants on their toes.
“As Lagos residents, we pledge to always stand by and give all necessary support for the success of the people’s governor,” Mr Oladeji said.
Accord Party leader urged Messrs Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat to walk their talks on the promised ‘New Rising Lagos State’.
“The massive votes for the governor is a testimony and commendation of the last four years’ governance of the duo, as well as a certification that he stood shoulder high above every other candidate in the contest for the Lagos state governorship seat,” explained Mr Oladeji.
The party leader added that as an opposition party, “we will always keep Mr governor, his deputy and other state government and local government functionaries on their toes.”
The Accord Party chairman mentioned that taking the step became necessary to enhance good governance, people-centred socio-economic policies, welfare and well-being for the prosperity of Lagos residents.
“We admonish Mr Governor to work assiduously towards increasing the average family wealth ratings of every Lagos resident,” noted the opposition party chief in Lagos. “He must also promote policies that will expand, grow, and strengthen the micro-economic indices in Lagos state, with a focus on micro trade, commerce and cottage industries. For a greater Lagos state, we will always stand.”
On Monday, Messrs Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat were sworn in for a second term in office at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
