We’re fully prepared for Benue LG polls on Saturday: APGA

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has said it is fully prepared to participate in the local government elections in Benue on Saturday.
Edward Akpen, APGA’s deputy national chairman, stated this in an interview on Friday in Makurdi, the state capital.
“Our party is ready to participate; we have six candidates participating in the election on the platform of APGA, and three of them are contesting for chairmanship,” said Mr Akpen.
Mr Akpen, the party’s vice organising secretary in the North-Central, said APGA is fielding six candidates in the election.
“Though we are not fully satisfied with the processes leading to the election, we believe that the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) cannot do more than the masses who are coming out to vote tomorrow.
“By God’s grace, the election would be peaceful, and the people would vote for the candidates of their choice,” he said.
