Mr al-Mainuki is a Nigerian, born in Mainok, Benisheikh, Borno State, Nigeria’s years-long insurgency battleground.

The U.S. authorities designated al-Minuki a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) on June 8, 2023.

According to Counter Extremism Project, a nonprofit international policy organisation, al-Minuki led the Lake Chad division of ISIS’s General Directorate of Provinces (GDP) offices.
