Wife divorces husband, complains of sex starvation

A Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan has dissolved a six-year-old marriage of a civil servant, Adedoyin Ayilola, on the ground of abandonment by her husband.
In her petition, Mrs. Ayilola, who works in Abeokuta, also accused the husband of starving her sexually.
Delivering judgment, the President of the court, Ademola Odunade, pronounced the marriage dissolved.
Mr. Odunade granted custody of their only child to Ayilola and ordered Ayoade to pay N5,000 as the child support monthly.
In her petition, she said,” My lord, Ayoade abandoned me to my fate when I took ill. He avoided touching me when I needed to love.
“He sleeps in the living room and never cared about me. He is not a reliable partner.”
The spouse consented to the divorce and did not deny the allegation levelled against him.
“I stopped going near her because I was equally not feeling well at the time.
“Because of her illness, too, I did not want to disturb her. She sent me a text message telling me that she was no longer interested in the marriage,” the husband said.
