Wike mourn pioneer FCT head of service

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has mourned the passing of the pioneer Head of the Civil Service of the FCT, Grace Adayilo.
Mrs Adayilo, who doubled as the first Head of Service and first female appointee to the role, died on Monday.
The deceased, appointed on October 6, 2024, served previously as the permanent secretary of the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat.
Lamenting the loss, Mr Wike described the late Mrs Adayilo as a hardworking civil servant, during a media chat on Monday.
He stated, “The late FCT Head of Service was very hardworking. I pleaded with President Tinubu to extend her tenure due to her hard work. If I had gotten the information on the demise of the FCT Head of Service, I would have put off this media chat. Her death is really sad and unfortunate.’’
