Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has commended the acting executive secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Richard Dauda, for effective supervision of ongoing projects across the FCT.

Mr Wike gave the commendation during a routine monitoring of ongoing projects across the FCT on Thursday.

The projects inspected were the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal Complex and 40 housing units of Judges’ Quarters in Katampe.

The minister also inspected the CN 2 ring road in Katampe through Gishairi and the dualisation of the Outer Southern Expressway from Ring Road I to Ring Road II on the Apo to Wassa road corridor.

Mr Wike expressed optimism that the projects would be completed and inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu to celebrate his third anniversary.

He explained that the effective supervision of the projects by the FCDA had significantly impacted the contractors’ pace and quality of delivery.

The minister, who expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded so far, said it wouldn’t have been possible without due diligence by the FCDA.

“I’m very impressed with what is on the ground so far.

“I am particularly impressed with the way the FCDA has been supervising the various projects to these levels. We are very, very happy,” the minister said.
