Woman drags friend to court over alleged threat to life

The complainant claimed that the defendant accused her of witchcraft that caused pain and constant fear.

A petty trader, Helen Okeke, on Wednesday, dragged her friend, Patience Udeme, to an Upper Customary Court on Daura Road, Kaduna State, for allegedly threatening to kill her.

The complainant, who spoke through her Counsel, A.M Aduma, said Udeme had defamed, intimidated and used abusive words on her.

She claimed that the defendant accused her of witchcraft that caused pain and constant fear.

She presented witnesses who confirmed that exchange of words between the two that almost led to  physical combat.

The defendant’s Counsel, H.T Oyebanji, cross examined the witnesses before the court closed for hearing.

The Judge, Patience Musa, then adjourned the matter until February 3 for ruling and defence hearing.
