Folashade Olukoya, the wife of the general overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), on Saturday urged women to complement men rather than compete with them.

Mrs Olukoya said women were divinely designed as solutions for families, institutions, and nations.

She spoke with journalists at the Association of Nigerian Female Organists programme at the MFM International Headquarters, Lagos.

Speaking on the theme, “Ladies on the Organ, Her Hymn, Her Organ,” Mrs Olukoya stated, “A world that hates women hates to be helped. Women are designed solutions, not to brush shoulders with men, but to help.”

She added that societies denying women space would remain “lonely and miserable,” stressing the need for inclusion and partnership.

Mrs Olukoya said women must speak out and occupy safe spaces to express their gifts and fulfil their God-given roles.

“Every woman is a helper. God created women to complement men and strengthen what is lacking,” she said, citing Genesis 2:15 in the Bible.

She noted that women were essential to nation-building and global progress, saying everyone had unique contributions.

“We have a space to occupy and to deliver our best as God has designed us,” she said, praying for greater impact.

Mr Olukoya also praised her husband for supporting her vision and encouraging people to fulfil their potential.

“Humanity is the essence of our existence. Finding someone who believes in vision fulfilment made this possible,” she said.

She described the programme as a milestone for women’s voices, highlighting the theme, ‘My Organ, My Voice.’

Also speaking, her husband, Daniel Olukoya, said MFM was committed to “clean, holy music that inspires and motivates, “adding women must be encouraged in music ministry. What a man can do, a woman too can do.”
