World Cup Qualifier: Central African Republic defeat Super Eagles in Lagos

Nigeria’s Super Eagles were defeated by the Les Fauves of the Central African Republic in a world cup qualifier match at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, which ended 1 – 0.
Karl Namnganda, a second-half substitution for CAR, scored the game-winning goal in stoppage time, marking the first time Nigeria has lost a world cup qualifying match at home in 25 matches.
Following Nigeria’s defeat, CAR competes with Cape Verde for second place in the group.
Nigeria remains in first place in the group, with six points from two games, ahead of Cape Verde and the Central African Republic.
