World’s most popular TikToker, Khaby Lame, forced to leave U.S. amid Trump’s immigration crackdown

According to ICE, although Mr Lame entered the U.S. legally on April 30, he overstayed his visa, violating the country’s immigration law.

Amid U.S. President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigrants, Khaby Lame, the world’s most popular TikToker, was forced to leave the U.S. over the weekend for overstaying his visa.

In a statement on Monday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement disclosed Mr Lame was detained at the International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, for immigration violations before he was allowed to leave the country on June 6.

“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, a citizen of Italy, June 6, at the Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, for immigration violations,” ICE said in the statement.

It added, “Lame was granted voluntary departure June 6 and has since departed the U.S.”

According to ICE, although Mr Lame entered the U.S. legally on April 30, he overstayed his visa, violating the country’s immigration law.

Being allowed to depart the U.S., Mr Lame will not face any immigration-related consequences.”

Mr Lame, 25, Senegalese-Italian, has over 162.2 million TikTok followers. He is famous for his funny skits on the social media platform.
